Someone made old Star Trek look like new Star Trek

A few weeks ago Star Trek director J.J. Abrams spoke about the use of lens flares in the new film, saying “I know there are certain shots where even I watch and think, “Oh that’s ridiculous, that was too many.” But I love the idea that the future was so bright it couldn’t be contained in the frame.” Now some fun person has taken footage from the original Star Trek series and given it a 2009 lens flare makeover.
