Star Trek fans call new Star Trek too “fun” and “watchable”

new trek smaller J.J Abram’s Star Trek reboot has been getting great reviews so far, however it appears not everyone is happy with the film:

(In case you were wondering that was The Onion, and if you know what The Onion does you’ll know it is not serious)

Yet again the films ignore Yeoman Rand and Nurse Chapel. Rand in particular was very important at the beginning of the original Star Trek series – for christs sake she was the FOURTH most important cast member, until the actress was sacked back in 1966 – when she was assaulted by somebody high up in the studio's and got rid of to cover it up. Ignoring her character almost makes Paramount look like she never existed – yet they are happy to use more minor characters in the film?! Why. And Chapel appeared in all 3 original series. Their lack of appearence in the film is a joke.

And some people wonder why Trekkies are virgins.

  • Name

… Chapel was not in all 3 original series. She was in the original series and that was it, and she was just a minor character.

You are confusing Nurse Chapel with Lwaxana Troi, and possibly the ships computer. All of these characters were played by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry; Gene Roddenberry's wife.
