Zodiac screenwriter James Vanderbilt recently spoke to BlogTalkRadio.com about his work on the next Spiderman film. There is no word yet if Sam Raimi will return, along with Tobey Maguire or Kirsten Dunst. Some people want a whole new trilogy with whole new actors and direction, where as some want to continue what we already have. For me it is the latter. It is too early for someone else to get into the Spiderman costume for me, and even though we probably wont see any web-slinging for another 2 -3 years years, I still have Tobey’s face imprinted into my mind. Anyway, here’s is what Vanderblit had to say.

“I went in on that. I really loved the films,” Vanderbilt said. “It’s sort of an odd process because you’re sitting down with the people who made the first three and going, ‘Well let me tell you what to do.’

“But I was lucky enough that they were interested in me and I’m a huge fan of those movies, so we closed that up right before the strike. Once the strike’s over I get to go to work,” he added.
