On August 1st hundreds of pieces of movie memorabilia will go up for auction, including Tobey Maguire’s mask from Spider-Man, which is expected to fetch up to $55,000 (£27,500). Other items up for auction include:
- The original T.I.E. Fighter filming miniature from Star Wars: A New Hope
- Ben Affleck’s complete Daredevil costume and outfits from X-Men, Van Helsing and Space Patrol
- The hoverboard used by Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) in Back To The Future II and III
- The animatronic puppet from Alien 3
- The Holy Grail cup from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
- The axe from The Shining
- Mel Gibson’s William Wallace suede padded battle jacket, leather lace-up shoes, belt and Wallace clan kilt from 1995’s Braveheart
- Charlton Heston’s 10 Commandments tablets from 1959 film Ben-Hur
- The pistol from 1976 movie The Outlaw Josey Wales
- The ray gun from 1956 science-fiction classic Forbidden Planet
