Aliens invade in the teaser trailer for Skyline

Sci-fi thriller Skyline by Aliens vs Predator – Requiem directors Greg and Colin Strause has been pretty low on our radar. In fact, I didn’t even know it existed until this teaser trailer appeared today, but it looks like a fun alien invasion movie.

There are hardly any familiar faces among the cast and the budget isn’t as big as War of the Worlds or Independence Day but the visual effects look impressive, especially considering no major studio is involved in the production.

After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherwordly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.

Universal will be releasing Skyline in November.
