According to Amazon the Skyfall DVD release date has been set for March 12, 2013. No specifications or extra features have been revealed, but we have been given a look at the DVD and Blu-ray covers.
Blu-ray.com also confirms the Skyfall Blu-ray release date for March 2013, so Bond fans don’t actually have that long to wait. Skyfall is still showing on the big screen and won’t be leaving any time soon, so there’s still plenty of time to catch it (I’ve had three viewings myself).
Skyfall recently crossed the $800 million worldwide mark at the box office, making it one of the most successful Bond movies of all time. Adjusted for inflation it’s behind movies such as Thunderball and Goldfinger (everyone went to see movies back in the 60s), but it’s still a modern powerhouse nonetheless and will have a place in Bond film history.
The 23rd Bond film is directed by Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig, Judi Dench, Naomie Harris, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes, Berenice Marlohe, Ben Whishaw, and Albert Finney. The villain in Skyfall is former MI6 operative Raoul Silva (Javier) who attacks the organisation with intentions to humiliate, discredit and ultimately kill M (Dench) as revenge against her for betraying him years ago.
