We’re still two months away from the release of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, but Warner Bros. is confident enough to get started on the next film. According to Deadline Drew Pearce has been hired to write Sherlock Holmes 3.
Pearce got attention following the success of his British superhero-comedy No Heroics, which lead Marvel to hire him to write their in-development Runaways movie. His links with Marvel landed him the job of co-writing Iron Man 3 with new director Shane Black, and it looks like Robert Downey Jr. has put in a good word for him at Warner Bros.
No details on where the third film will take Sherlock Holmes (Robert Downey Jr.) and Doctor Watson (Jude Law), but A Game of Shadows will probably leave a few clues towards the end.
