According to Latino Review, Warner Bros have an idea about who they want as Hal Jordan aka The Green Lantern. His name is Ryan Gosling, the Oscar nominated actor who has starred in The Notebook, Stay and Fracture. He was also going to play the lead in Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones, however at the last minute things didn’t work out.
The actor is in the same age range as Jordan is in the latest screenplay draft, so the age is definitely spot on. He looks also looks the part. It’s a shame this is just a rumour and isn’t official.
Last week we heard that Green Lantern is being fast tracked for a Spring 2009 start date, so we will getting some casting news and official announcements over the coming months.
