Doesn't really matter because Repo The Genetic Opera was just about the most talentless POS I've seen in many years. It sits next to Battlefield Earth, which I'm sure looked good to someone on paper. The only difference between these two films are that this one looks good, I'm okay with that.

I heard Repo had a following but come on. I will even take a step back and say it wasn't a bad idea,but Rock Opera isn't really an original idea either, so saying that its all part of the U.S. unoriginality clause is a bit much. Most of the Goth Metal bands that exist create entire albums that are Rock Operas (old school Theatre of Tragedy to name one). Repo had horrible singing, god awful lyrics, and half ass execution (OH YEAH! it WAS directed by one of the SAW guys wasn't it!) Follow Suit. Repo was a wet dream for kids too caught up in their gothling hot topic “I want to be punished” phase. Unfortunately it only punished everyone else who sat down to watch it.

As others have pointed out, it sounds like they pretty much snatched up the plot from Repo: The Genetic Opera then made it less cybergoth. I DO NOT APPROVE.

lol i was thinking about half of these comments before i read them. The plot is nearly the exact copy of Repo: the Genetic Opera. Cept without the singing -_-. It'll probably do better though or come out about even. Sad that it hasn't even been a few years and 2 movies of identical plot lines come out :/. Where has the originality gone?!

As you guys have said… What the hell, but what can you expect? We are in a land of unoriginality. I mean hell people rhyme to a computer made beat and make millions, shows what the audiences like. Just making more familiar and easy to understand material for our brainwashed masses. Anywho, sad sad sad that they would rip off this.

wow, talk about copywrite .. “Repo: The Genetic Opera” came out like a year or so ago. Hell I saw a screening of the movie in my Film school and got to meet the Director and the guy who played Grave Robber. I loved how it was original, and thought “man, I hope no one copies this idea” …. well fuck, it's basically the same damn script. I wonder if they bought the rights, or they're just plain out plagiarizing.

Uh, wow, can anyone say “Repo: The Genetic Opera”?
I wonder if they bought the rights to that idea, seeing as it's almost the exact same plot line…only Repo was way cooler than Repo Men…and it came out a year or so ago now. Directed by the guy who did the Saw movies? Yeaaaahh…hm.
