I am also a Catholic (but not incredibly devout), and have been a member of the religion for over twenty years.

I think it's absolutely hilarious that there is controversy erupting between the Catholic church and the filmmakers. Not because I'm drama hungry, but because I HAVE read the book. I don't want to spoil the book for anyone reading this who has yet to enjoy the thrilling story, so I won't go too far into details.

However, in the story Dan Brown illustrates the ancient feud between the Catholic Church and....let's just call them "free-thinkers" (but not in a bad way). I find it so funny that this controversy just proves the theories of the book. The Catholic Church does not want the film to include shots from inside the church, based on The Da Vinci Code. A pre-quel, yes, but the storyline has NOTHING to do with Jesus or fathering children with Mary Magdalene.

I just thought I'd share my insight with anyone else who has read Angels and Demons.

Let me start off by saying I have read Angels and Demons once before and loved it(probably around the middle of 2007) After finding out that there will be a film based on the book, I decided to read it again.
