i could have been more in depth and pulled out all the various points of the classic literary trope of the Hero's Journey (gotta love good old Joe Campbell) but that's why we have Hermione, our fav insufferable know it all.

Not sure. I usually wait until the movie is out to judge whether someone is worthy of acting a part. Some actors can actually surprise you when it comes to their ability to act a certain part. What I want to know is who's playing Ares. That may be a tough part to cast because Ares was… Well, I can't say, that's kinda a spoiler xD.

Are you happy with the casting? They seem to have gone for well known actors, and that isn't always a good thing.

He's not so much descended from one of the gods as he is the son of one of them. In fact, he's the son of one of the big three, the brothers Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Not telling which one. Also, Mount Olympus tends to move around every so often in order to keep it hidden from mortals. The guard at the bottom of the building is more than just a mortal.

In case you can't tell, I loved the book :3.
