wolverine 20th Century Fox has set a July 26, 2013 release date for The Wolverine. Filming was initially scheduled to begin last year but Hugh Jackman’s commitment to Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables, along with location issues, caused a delay. Now it looks like filming will begin sometime over the upcoming months.

Corey Stoll Filmonic

If you’re wondering who Corey Stoll is, you may recognize him as the best part of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. The actor played Ernest Hemingway in that film, and received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Now, he’s joined Netflix’s first original television series “House of Cards,” alongside some other fantastic talent. David Fincher is set to direct the pilot, and Kevin Spacey is playing the lead in the rehash of a 1990 British TV series. The Amazing Spider Man1 Columbia Pictures has released an impressive new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man which stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Rhys Ifans, Denis Leary, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. We finally get to see The Lizard in action (briefly), some wisecracking quips from Spider-Man, and a preview of the more physical fight scenes. There are also some pretty big action sequences towards the end.

battleship movie While watched by millions, Michael Bay’s Transformers movies get a lot of criticism for being big dumb blockbusters full of CGI and explosions. I have a feeling Peter Berg’s Battleship will be greeted by a similar reception upon its release as Universal are effectively just copying and pasting the concept which worked so well for Paramount and Michael Bay.
