Nicole Kidman tries to remember what happened before she lost her memory in a mysterious incident, all in the upcoming thriller Before I Go To Sleep.
Based on the bestseller novel of the same name by S. J. Watson, Before I Go To Sleep is a thriller about a woman, Christine Lucas, suffering from anterograde amnesia. What that means is the victim loses the ability to form new memories after the incident that caused the amnesia. So every single day she wakes up without knowing who she is. In order to try to reconstruct her memory, she keeps a video diary. But it’s not just that, there’s also a doctor who’s been trying to help her remember who she really is and what exactly happened the day of the accident. Since it’s a thriller, you can probably guess it’s not as easy as “I fell off my bike and hit my head”, there’s a lot more behind it all.
Nicole Kidman stars as Christine Lucas with Colin Firth playing her husband while Mark Strong is the doctor. Rowan Joffe writes and directs Before I Go To Sleep. The movie is scheduled to open August 7th in Australia (Nicole Kidman’s home country) and September 12th in the US.
