Hey, remember that film where Joseph Gordon-Levitt rides a bike, everyone wants to kill him and he almost gets hit by a taxi? Well you would if you saw the first trailer for Premium Rush 8 months ago. Anyway, here’s another trailer and a release date.
Watch below:
Premium Rush is the action-packed story of a bicycle messenger that happens to land the worst package ever, an envelope. Now that envelope is, as you expect, special since that dirty cop you see in the trailer will basically do everything in his power to get it back. Sure, the messenger could just give the package to the guy and forget about it but that’s not the code of the bicycle messenger, right? But hey, it’s a fun idea and if executed right, I can see this being a very entertaining film.
Directed by David Koepp (Ghost Town and writing credits on many films including the recently released Men in Black 3) and written by him and John Kamps (also Ghost Town), Premium Rush stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Shannon, Jamie Chung, Dania Ramirez and Aasif Mandvi among other.
Premium Rush was initially set for a January release this year (thus explaining the first trailer so long ago) but now we finally have a solid date for this cool looking action flick and it’s, drum roll, August 24th in North America and September 14th in the UK.
