New images from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus

prometheus movie Image The latest issue of Entertainment Weekly contains our first good look at Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, which stars Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba, Patrick Wilson, Guy Pearce and Logan Marshall-Green.

In the image below we see The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo‘s Noomi Rapace as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw, a researcher and archaeologist. In an interview last month Rapace said Shaw was the “most complete person” she’s ever played, and she “turns into a fighter” halfway through the film after “a lot of things happen”.

Other images show us the characters of Charlize Theron and Idris Elba.

Ridley Scott, director of “Alien” and “Blade Runner,” returns to the genre he helped define. With PROMETHEUS, he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a team of explorers discover a clue to the origins of mankind on Earth, leading them on a thrilling journey to the darkest corners of the universe. There, they must fight a terrifying battle to save the future of the human race.

With 20th Century Fox’s marketing campaign seemingly under-way we can probably expect the teaser trailer to hit sometime soon. Ridley Scott’s return to sci-fi hits June 8, 2012.

The image featuring Noomi Rapace is a poorly photoshopped fake.

Can’t be fake because Fox sent it to EW. Probably photoshopped though.

did any one notice the xenomorph egg at the bottom of one of the pics?

The poster is a fake.  Compare the suited people at the bottom with those at the bottom of the original “entertainment weekly” published image.  One of the people has simply been mirrored and pasted to the left to make up for the gap left by the red banner in the originally published photo.  Come on, Filmonic.  At least look at the frickin’ things before you tell us they are official.

Your issue is with Entertainment Weekly who posted them in their latest issue. I don’t think Fox would have sent them fakes.

Hello moderator, you did not “approve” my comment.  That poster is from deviantart.  It is not real.

I guess I can’t post the link, or else it won’t get uploaded.  But if anyone is interested, Cure4 made the poster here: h ttp:/ / browse.devian tart. com/?order =13&q=prometheus#/d4h0np6
