New Cloud Atlas TV trailers and soundtrack samples

cloud atlas banner Image We’re just under 3 weeks away from the North American release of Cloud Atlas, and Warner Bros. is ramping up the marketing campaign with the release of two new TV spots. Samples from the soundtrack have also appeared online.

You can watch the TV spots below. The first is an extended trailer which shows snippets of new footage, and makes use of all the positive reviews it received at the Toronto Film Festival.

Amazon has also prepared some samples from the soundtrack ahead of its release by Watertower Music on October 23rd (click here to listen). The music was composed by director Tom Tykwer, who worked with his Perfume: The Story of a Murderer composers Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil. They actually started preparing the music before filming began, which just shows how well The Wachowskis and Tykwer had the film planned out in their minds.

Cloud Atlas stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, Jim Sturgess, Ben Whishaw, Hugh Grant and Susan Sarandon. It follows six stories ranging from the South Pacific in the 19th Century to California in the 1970s to a post-apocalyptic future, and most of the cast play multiple characters throughout the six stories, swapping race and gender in the process.

The film arrives in the US on October 26th, 2012 and other territories will see it later this year or early 2013.
