My Sister’s Keeper, based on the bestselling Jodi Picoult novel of the same name, is the story of a former district attorney and her fireman husband, who are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation.
Cameron Diaz, Joan Cusack, and Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine) were already signed up for the project, and will now be joined by Jason Patric and Thomas Dekker (NBC’s Heroes and Fox’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles). The film is being helmed by Nick Cassavetes, most known for his direction of The Notebook and John Q, and is being shot in LA.
