A re-boot, are you freaking kidding me? This franchise is in it's infancy. It's not like there is a whole new generation out there that needs to be introduced to Spider-Man. Raimi did a fantastic job with all the Spider-Man movies.

Of course we don't know the full story – but I can believe that these Sony executives went to the same business school as the one's that are currently screwing up late night television at NBC.
