Michael Bay didn’t like his experience with Transformers internet-wise. There was a script leak, image leaks and an unfinished TV spot leaked, causing fans to complain, rant and moan. Thankfully everything turned out well and Transformers was great. However, Bay told Rotten Tomatoes about his plans for the fans second time round.
“One thing I do know is I know how to screw them up more,” said Bay. “We’re going to leak a lot of false information all over the place. I now know their game. They’re going to get a lot of script treatments that they think are going to be the script. They will never see the script. We’ve got scripts and treatments written up that we’re going to leak. No one’s going to know.”
Scoopers who currently think they’re sitting on a hot one, here’s a head’s up. “There’s one out that’s fake right now. There are going to be many others.”
Sounds quite interesting. Although what Michael Bay fails to realise (or maybe he does) is that Paramount’s legal team are constantly crawling the internet, looking for things to remove and threaten sites with. The Movie Blog was shut down briefly due to an image of the Transformers cast being posted. IESB also got removed for a short while because of an Iron Man set video. So it is all well and good Bay releasing false scripts and rumours but as soon as something legit appears it will be taken down and then fans will REALLY know what the plot for Transformers 2 is. So sending the fans in different directions fun but if anything gets taken down then the fans will know something is up.
