Mia Wasikowska Is Tim Burton’s Alice!

According to The Hollywood Reporter Australian actress Mia Wasikowska is in final negotiations to star as Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Burton has been looking for his Alice for quite a while, so she must have something special about her. Mia can next be seen in Defiance alongside Daniel Craig and Liev Schreiber, and then in Amelia alongside Hilary Swank, Ewan McGregor and Richard Gere.

Alice in Wonderland
will be shot with live-action and performance-capture footage and presented in 3-D. Filming is expected to begin in November, so expect more casting announcements in the upcoming months. I’ll put my money on Helena Bonham Carter playing the Queen of Hearts.

hmm instead of using an actress a little older than the role requires, perhaps burton should have continued his method of using people he's used in prior movies... in this case AnnaSophia Robb would be the definite choice for Alice... or am I wrong? she has the perfect complexion, hair and big, mysterious blue eyes that would fit the role. not only that but her talent would exceed her appearance.
  • Yeah, Anna-Sophia Robb would be great for the role, but I'm sure there's a reason he chose Mia Wasikowska, so I think it will turn out great anyway.
