Just the other day Matthew Vaughn told us of his uncertainty of Thor making it into the big screen anytime soon, saying it was now up to Marvel to decide what happens, after all, Thor will not be the easiest comic book to adapt into a movie. However, it seems Vaughn isn’t going to sit around waiting for Marvel to decide, as AICN say that he is currently in the process of writing a script for Kick-Ass, a new comic book published by Marvel last month. AICN say that if Wanted connects with audiences this summer, then it will probably get the greenlight. Kick-Ass is about a boy who wants to be a superhero but doesn’t have any powers. Instead he does what he can to fight crime. The comic is described as a more realistic and powerless version of Spiderman, which sounds interesting.

I think Marvel may be keeping Vaughn busy until the time is right to bring Thor onto the big screen. Thor is a big project so they need to take their time to get it right, otherwise it will not work at all.
