According to Variety Leonardo DiCaprio will star in Christopher Nolan’s Inception. No details yet of what role DiCaprio will play.
Leonardo DiCaprio will star in “Inception,” the science-fiction film that Christopher Nolan (“The Dark Knight”) wrote and will direct as his next pic at Warner Bros.
The project shoots this year and is slated to be released in summer 2010, with Nolan and Emma Thomas producing. DiCaprio’s deal is in final negotiations.
Script has been kept under wraps but the studio terms it a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.
Christopher Nolan wanted to make a different movie instead of going straight back into Gotham. Apparently Warner Bros. gave him backing to make this with the understand he will return and make Batman 3 when then time comes. Casting Leonardo DiCaprio shows that this could end up being quite good, and not just a ‘filler’.
