There’s a whole lot of everything going on in this epic final trailer for Kong: Skull Island, and you will probably agree they definitely saved the best for last.
“In 1971, a secretive organization known as Monarch finds an island that is shrouded in mystery and identified as the origin for a new species. The resulting expedition to the island reveals that a giant ape named Kong is at the centre of a battle for dominion over the island, against the apex predators, nicknamed “Skullcrawlers”, responsible for wiping out his kind. As the expedition crew makes plans to fight for survival against Kong and the other monsters on the island, some of them begin to see that Kong is worth saving.”
I’m still worried the movie might not know what it wants to be and thus end up an uneven mess, but I’m now also a lot more excited for Kong: Skull Island than I was yesterday. Also at least we know in this one they won’t be killing Kong again, as the giant ape is set to return at some point in 2020, facing against Godzilla.
Jordan Vogt Robert directed Kong: Skull Island with a screenplay by Dan Gilroy, Max Borenstein and Derek Connolly. Along for the adventure are Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, John C. Reilly, Toby Kebbell, Corey Hawkins and many others.
Kong: Skull Island will be unleashed on the big screen in just a few days, starting March 10th in the US and around the world.
