Kevin McKidd still Thor contender

Rome actor Kevin McKidd told IGN that he is still a contender for the lead role in Thor, and that there’s been “a lot of back and forth” about the project lately, however nothing has been determined. He acknowledged that Kenneth Branagh is directing it, a choice that makes him even more excited about the film.

Kevin McKidd was apparently in the running for the role last year when Marvel were actively working on it. They stopped briefly to see how Iron Man would get on, and are now aiming for a July 2010 release date.
