Wishing will not make it so…..
this will top out at 25mill- and leave quite the stench behind it….

well maybe he did get the role cause he got a famous dad but that goes for every hollywood actor. cause nearly every actor out there got a famous mum and dad helping their kids to get somewhere.

anyway the trailer looks good my issue about this movie is why the hell they calling it The Karate Kid they are doing Kung Fu. it should be called The Kung Fu Kid.

whats next another remake of The Karate Kid but this time its based in Thailand and the kid get taught by Tony Jaa who teach him Muay Thai instead of calling it "The Muay Thai Kid" the film will be called "The Karate Kid". cause the the general audience does not know what is the differences cause we are that dumb to tell.

the trailer looks good and it shows that Jackie Chan who knows martial arts actually trained Jaden. the original starring Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi never have done Karate in his whole life so this movie is abit better than the original. but you got to remember The Karate Kid was not only about learning karate its also about friendship between the teacher and student. if this remake does both it might actually end up been good.

but the studio need to change the title to The Kung Fu asap

Totally unrelated to the trailer, which is not showing up for me: could we start trying to not use “rape” in such a casual context? Every time it's used improperly, the actual act is belittled. Thanks. Sincerely, me.

I think it will be just OK. Not great or anything special but just decent enuf to enjoy it.

I'm a little less sceptic about some of the features now, but I'm afraid this is going to become a 'hip-hop mean kid from the streets' kinda movie instead of the 'everyman' version(s) we had before.

I like it. I think I'm secretly treating this… not as a remake, but just another sequel. The story seems legit interesting.

WRONG WRONG WRONGIDTY WRONG WRONG! It seems to be shot like a gritty documentary, whereas the original had such gravity because it was shot like an allegory. Maybe the grittiness is fit for a kid with braids as he can't be an "everyman" like Ralph Macchio. Maybe the story will actually be about a karate kid who learns to fight to protect some girl, instead of(and it must be instead if it's made to be gritty) like the original be about the "nice guy" for once winning in the game of adolescence.
