Jurassic Park 4 edged closer to a reality last month when Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, writers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, were hired to write the script for Universal.
In an interview with Collider producer Frank Marshall revealed they are aiming for a summer release as Jurassic Park 4 is a “popcorn movie”, and we may see it “on the screen within two years.” This means we can probably expect the Jurassic Park 4 release date for summer 2014, barring any delays.
Marshall also said he was looking forward to the advancements in special effects since the reptiles were last on screen in Jurassic Park 3 (2001):
“That’s what’s gonna be great about it, technology’s taken a leap now that we can really do some great things”
No director has been hired, but Steven Spielberg will be producing once again.
Universal Pictures has set a July 19, 2013 release date for Jurassic Park 3D, so we don’t have that long to wait before dinosaurs return to the big screen.
