There has been talk about a fourth Jurassic Park for a while now. The first film back in 1993 was, and still is amazing. The effects are far more realistic than the CGI stuff we have today. Although dinosaurs are great to see on-screen, the plots got worse as the trilogy took its course. The plot for JP4 is unknown at the moment, however there have been many rumours which are are either disastrous or kick ass depending on your personal preference.
- The discovery of a deadly prehistoric disease that the revival of the dinosaurs inflicted and which threatens to wipe out the entire human race.
- A group of soldiers that were genetically crossed humans and dinosaurs.
- There was talk about the film evolving around the dinosaurs extinction.
- Now the recent rumour is that the government have trained dinosaurs to carry weapons and use them for battle purposes.
Aslong as Steve Spielberg is attached to this film, I still have faith in it. The film has yet to find a director. Spielberg himself said he wouldn’t be directing, as did Jurassic Park 3 helmer Joe Johnston. However, Laura Dern has confirmed she will be back as Dr. Ellie Sattler.

…as soon as the WGA strikes ends – if it ends – they’re going to continue working on the script. “There’s an idea and we just have to see if it shakes out.” The uber-producer – who’s also keen on doing a fourth “Bourne” film – says the plan is still to get the film into theatres by 2009.
If all goes well 2009 is the year to be at, with films like Transformers 2, Wolverine, and 3D epic Avatar. 3D movies seem to be the latest craze, Spielberg himself is a fan, so could we end up with 3D dinosaurs? I jolly well hope so!
