judi-denchDaniel Craig previously said that he would like Q and Moneypenny to return in the next Bond film, after they were ditched when Craig came aboard for Casino Royale. Now it appears Judi Dench has also joined the campaign to bring them back.

From Thisislincolnshire:

The 74-year-old actress – who plays MI5 chief M in the movies said she would love John Cleese and Samantha Bond to reprise their roles and bring some humour back to Bond.

Dame Judi said: “That would be good if it was thought right to bring back those characters. Wouldn’t it be Samantha Bond as Miss Moneypenny and John Cleese as Q. Who else?”

Asked if she’ll be returning as M in the next 007 film she replied: “You bet. As M you get to treat this powerful man very, very badly.”

First of all…Judi Dench is 74?! I thought she was only in her 60s! Secondly, I would be up for the characters returning. They will probably have to be written differently as the whole Bond tone has changed since they were last in, however it could work pretty well if done right.

Humor is one of the Bond movies qualities - bring Q and Miss Moneypenny back! Time to lighten up Mr. Bond again - I wanna see Daniel Craig's smile :)
