Guy Ritchie’s take on the legend of King Arthur received a new trailer, one that’s mainly focused on the film’s story and less so on giant CGI mammoths. Check it out below.
“Robbed of his birthright, Arthur comes up the hard way in the back alleys of the city. But once he pulls the sword from the stone, he is forced to acknowledge his true legacy – whether he likes it or not.”
By now you probably know what you’re getting into with a Guy Ritchie movie and honestly I think the previous trailer might be more indicative of King Arthur‘s tone than this newer, tamer trailer. At the very least we’re not getting the same story we’ve seen dozens of times and it will look rather spectacular, even if the overall package might end up lacking in a few departments. Of course I’m still optimistic since I like these sort of flicks and most of Ritchie’s work, so I will give King Arthur: Legend of the Sword a shot.
Guy Ritchie directed King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and he also co-wrote the film’s screenplay with Joby Harold and Lionel Wigram. Starring in movie are Charlie Hunnam, Jude Law, Eric Bana, Katie McGrath, Aiden Gillen, Djimon Hounsou and many others, apparently including one David Beckham.
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword will be available in theaters starting May 12th in the US and around the world.
