According to Film Music Reporter Matthew Vaughn has chosen Kick-Ass composer Henry Jackman to compose the score for X-Men: First Class. Kick-Ass had a number of composers and earlier this year we heard that Ilan Eshkeri may be the one reuniting with Vaughn, however Henry Jackman is the man.
Jackman worked with Hans Zimmer on The Dark Knight and scored Monsters vs Aliens. He is also working on the music for Gulliver’s Travels for 20th Century Fox.
You can listen to some of his stuff below:
Each of the X-Men films has had a different composer which has resulted in the X-Men not really having a theme or continuity with the music. Spider-Man had the ‘swinging theme’. Batman has Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard doing their thing, so I think its about time the X-Men got a theme.
