He-Man gets new name and writer

masters of the universe 500x228 The upcoming He-Man movie has been given a new name and writer according to THR, who say that newcomer Evan Daugherty has been hired to write the latest draft of Greyskull.

John Stevenson (“Kung Fu Panda”) is attached to direct the adaptation of the show, which followed a blond warrior named Prince Adam who, when uttering the magic words, “By the power of Grayskull — I have the power,” turned into the heroic He-Man. He and his allies — Battle Cat, Man-at-Arms and Orko — defended their planet Eternia from the evil forces of Skeletor, who tried week after week to conquer the fortress Castle Grayskull, which imbued He-Man with his powers.

Warners sees the big-screen version as a gritty fantasy and reimagines Adam as a soldier who sets off to find his destiny, happening upon the magical world of Eternia. There, Skeletor has raised a technological army and is bent on eradicating magic.

    Ok, this story simply sucks!
    Skeletor WAS a magician…. A wizard to be more precise. And in this script he wants to eradicate magic using technology? How lame…
    And Adam was the prince of Eternia… And he was made that way in the cartoon so if could "disguise" himself as a selfish, childish, immature, frightened prince while his secret identity is hidden… C'mon, is it THAT hard to make a script of masters of the universe true to the source material?!?

      well actually that was like the second official story, at the start if tou remember the little comics that came with the action figures heman actually lived in a village or something, seemed more like conan the barbarian and was found by sorcerer, it was later that someone came up with the prince adam thing, now about skeletor using tech to erradicate magic….that my friend is crap

    um masters of the univers is cool as the cartoon. the story line for that was good, the newer cartoon was better than the 80s nalstalgia, but i think this movie could be epic…skeletor should be the darkest fucking evil peace of shit villan the world has ever seen, and prince adam should be likeable aka the new captain kirk….and heman should be the biggest buffest bad ass hero…..and this movie should have a fight between battle cat and panthor….that would be the shit. kung-fu panda was the best cgi cartoon ever!!!!

    you people obviously have not read the script. the short version is this. skeltor is king randors father who comes to eternia and kills randor and man at arms gets prince adam out, who then in turn goes on his quest to learn fighting etc and find the mystical sword and help from the sorceress, to then return and reclaim eternia. and yes battlecat is in it. doo some research the script is online
