Hang on to your nuggets… It’s the new trailer for Free Birds

Free_Birds_animated_movieFor nearly ten years, the first week in November has become a fixture for an animated film to debut.

For example:

November 2nd, 2012: Wreck-It Ralph

November 4th, 2011: Puss in Boots

November 5th, 2010: Megamind

November 6th, 2009: A Christmas Carol

November 7th, 2008: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

November 2nd, 2007: Bee Movie

November 3rd, 2006: Flushed Away

November 4th, 2005: Chicken Little

And finally, the movie responsible for starting this trend after it opened to $70 million ($93 million with inflation) on November 5th, 2004: The Incredibles

While none of the movies that followed it matched the quality of The Incredibles, they all made a boatload of money nevertheless. On November 1st, the tradition continues with the release of Free Birds.

Here’s the newest trailer:

Two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history – and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.

Free Birds features the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, and Amy Poehler. The film is directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!) from a script by Hayward and Scott Mosier.
