If The Dark Knight didn’t make so much money for Warner Bros. last year then Harry Potter fans could have already seen Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by now. However, Warner Bros. decided to move the film back to summer 2009, and now Potter fans will get another less serious, but nevertheless concerning shock. The MPAA have given the film a PG rating. This is despite the fact that the series should be getting darker with each movie, and despite the fact that the book contains people getting poisoned, Death Eaters descend on Hogwarts to force Draco Malfoy to murder Professor Dumbledore and other dark and serious stuff.
I haven’t seen a Harry Potter movie since the one where they went back in time and saw themselves, so I am not too concerning about this. Potter fans, are you concerned? Would you rather the rating be PG-13?
