Spoiler!!! (dont read the comment if you havent read books!)
If anyone has read the book, they know that it will end disappointingly and no war takes place in the end! I was so pissed off after reading the book… A fantasy novel is not the place to preach pacifism! x-(

But you know that the movie will probably throw some kind of action in like they did with New Moon and Breaking Dawn part 1 xP

        (spoiler)
I hope they do… The ending of Breaking Dawn book was really anti climactic… They build up to this one sequence almost for half the novel and finally the whole thing is just diffused without much problems. I don’t really have the right to tell the writer how to end her book, but the climax of a series of fantasy novels about ferocious werewolves and opposing vampire factions is not the place to preach pacifism… People would expect some action, and if not that, at least some solid closure on the issue. It’s obvious to anyone with half a brain that the Volturri wont give up, they will try again and the next time, the Cullens may or may not have the support of all their friends. So, looking at it that way, it was not really the end of the problem, just a postponement. If there are more books to follow then sure, but if this is meant to be the last one, then isn’t it better to finish the story one way or the other!
