I mean they’re just dates, no movies for them yet, but we can try to guess what those titles could be, also take a look at Fox’s upcoming slate of X-Men movies.
For the first time since 20th Century Fox started making X-Men movies we’ll be getting not one, not two but three titles in 2018. As we speak all three are in production and the first one to hit will be New Mutants on April 13th 2018. That’s the one that’s supposed to be more of a horror, starring Anya Taylor-Joy and Game of Thrones‘ Maisie Williams. Then there’s what many will probably call the main course, Deadpool 2, coming June 1st 2018, directed by David Leitch and starring Ryan Reynolds. And lastly we have X-Men: Dark Phoenix, November 2nd 2018, which is the sequel to X-Men: Apocalypse, will be set in the 90’s and almost everyone from Apocalypse is coming back, including fan-favorite Quicksilver.
Okay, so that’s the stuff we know, now on to the 6 mysterious dates Fox reserved for their future slate. Those are June 7th 2019, November 22nd 2019, March 13th 2020, June 26th 2020, October 2nd 2020 and March 5th 2021. Two of those dates are locked for Deadpool 3 and X-Force and I’m guessing X-Force will come first, probably take June 7th 2019, little over a year after Deadpool 2 (for those that might not know this, X-Force will have Deadpool in it). And I believe June 26th 2020 might be a likely date for Deadpool 3.
So what about the remaining four? Well in case New Mutants does well that might also need a slot. Not sure where they’ll take X-Men proper after Dark Phoenix, chances are it might be something completely new. Whatever that will be could be very far, so let’s say March 5th 2021. Oh and there’s also Gambit, pretty sure they’re still making that. Also rumor has it they might try and reboot Fantastic Four once again, which I really hope turns out false. Let’s just leave that one be.
