The first trailer for RZA’s directorial debut, The Man With the Iron Fists, has appeared online. The movie stars Russell Crowe (Robin Hood, Gladiator), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill), Cung Le (Fighting), as well as RZA, who also co-wrote the script with Hostel creator, Eli Roth.
The trailer doesn’t offer much in terms of plot, but blood and violence abound, which is to be expected from a film presented by Quentin Tarantino. I imagine more character and story details will emerge in subsequent trailers.

While it certainly has potential, the fact that filming wrapped over a year ago and we’re only getting the first trailer now makes me wonder if there were some significant post-production problems. That the running time was reportedly cut from 4 hours down to 90 minutes doesn’t help. No word yet on an official release date.
