First trailer for The Incredible Burt Wonderstone

December 21, 2012 - By Alex

The-Incredible-Burt-Wonderstone Warner Bros released yesterday the first trailer for the comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone. For those not familiar with this flick, it stars Jim Carrey, Steve Carell and Steve Buscemi, so if that’s not enough to make you interested then the following trailer should do the trick, otherwise there’s probably something wrong with you (or not).

Watch below:

Speaking of tricks, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is exactly that, a story of tricks. So based on the trailer we understand that these two childhood friends decide to become magicians and as faith would have it, they actually turn out just that. Now years have passed and like everything, they’ve gotten old and so have their tricks. Enter Jim Carrey’s character, Steve Gray, the new hotshot magician in town, the complete opposite of these two. Anyway, here’s the synopsis according to IMDB:

Longtime Las Vegas favorite, magician Burt Wonderstone (Steve Carell), and his sidekick, Anton Lovecraft (Steve Buscemi), have allowed their show to grow stale, while up-and-coming Steve Gray (Jim Carrey), is stealing the limelight. Entitled, cynical and jaded, Burt finds himself out of a job and broke, while Anton heads to Cambodia to spread the joy of magic to hungry villagers. It takes Burt’s original mentor, Rance Hanson (Alan Arkin), to talk sense into glum Burt, as well as a good kick in the keester by his adoring assistant, Jane (Olivia Wilde), to get Burt on track – back doing magic with all the zeal and passion that compelled him as a youngster.

Directed by Don Scardino (30 Rock, 2 Broke Girls), this very entertaining looking movie also stars Jim Carrey, Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin and James Gandolfini among others.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone opens March 15th in North America and I don’t know about you but I’m completely on board with this one.

So what do you think, yes, no, need to see more?

The new look is nice… But what happened to the shortcuts to specific movies that was there?

Things are still being added. They are now in the footer, but I’m thinking about moving them higher.
