After weeks of teasing Marvel has finally released the first full trailer for Iron Man 3. This definitely looks to be the most serious of franchise. There are no jokes, no flashy stage entrances, and no Iron Maiden. Tony Stark is having a tough time, and having his house blown up by Sir Ben Kingsley probably won’t help.

Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, and Guy Pearce round out the cast, and the plot will borrow elements from Warren Ellis’ six-issue “Iron Man: Extremis” comic books which focuses heavily on the spread a genome-attacking viral creation known as Extremis through nanotechnology.
Iron Man 3 is shooting under the direction of Shane Black, and will be released May 2013.
