20th Century Fox has released the first full trailer for Ang Lee’s Life Of Pi. The film is based on the novel by Yann Martel and tells the story of a boy who is the only person to survive the sinking of a freighter. He finds himself stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the Pacific with a hyena, a zebra, an orangutan, and a Bengal tiger.

There’s some great shots here, and even though the animals are CGI they look impressively real. The film stars Adil Hussain, Irrfan Khan, Suraj Sharma, Tabu, and Tobey Maguire, and opens on December 21st, 2012.
