X-Men: First Class actor Nicholas Hoult will be leading two movies in 2012, which could make him a lot more well known than he already is. The first film is Bryan Singer’s Jack the Giant Killer which will be released in June, and that will be followed by Summit Entertainment’s zombie romance movie Warm Bodies in August.
Today Summit released the first official image of Hoult as R, the lead character in Isaac Marion’s novel who is different from other zombies. He’s alive inside and begins to act more human than zombie, eventually coming to the defence of a young girl named Julie (Teresa Palmer) whose life is threatened by the undead.

When a highly unusual zombie rescues a girl from imminent death at the hands of his cohorts, their unlikely romance sets in motion a chain of events that will transform him, his fellow dead, and maybe even the whole lifeless world.
Jonathan Levin (The Wackness) is directing the movie, which also stars Rob Corddry, John Malkovich, Analeigh Tipton, Dave Franco and Cory Hardrict. Summit will release Warm Bodies on August 10, 2012.
