Splash News got hold of a video from the set of The A-Team which contains our first look at ‘the team’ (from a distance anyway). Liam Neeson has gone all grey and plays Hannibal Smith. Bradley Cooper plays Face. Sharlto Copley (District 9) is Capt. Murdock, Quinton Jackson is Sgt. B.A. Baracus and Jessica Biel, who wasn’t needed for the scene above, plays Bradley Cooper’s ex-love muffin who is an Army officer in charge of pursuing the team.
I haven’t seen one single episode of the original TV series, however I do know it’s rather popular and I do know Mr. T has become embedded in popular culture, so Quinton Jackson must be feeling the pressure playing B.A. Baracus.
You can see they’ve toned down the bling and cut off the mowhawk, which is a smart move because trying to recreate the exact character wouldn’t work. The character has been ‘re-envisioned’, ‘re-imagined’ and all those other words that basically mean they’ve done it a bit differently.
