During an interview with Jay Leno (via Monsters and Critics) Emma Stone, who is currently filming the Spider-Man reboot as Gwen Stacy, said that she may be keeping her blonde hair for a while as “there’s a few Spidermen, so I may have to keep it for a couple of years.”
Sony signed Andrew Garfield up for three movies, so it is likely they did the same with Emma Stone. This doesn’t mean Gwen Stacy will be around throughout the new trilogy (she could be killed off by a villain to raise the stakes) but it is likely she will.
Stone also spoke about training for the role with Andrew Garfield:
The House Bunny star revealed she shares the same trainer as co-star Andrew Garfield – but refuses to work out with him. “The other day, after work, I was supposed to work out with our trainer and Andrew said ‘Would it be ok if I worked out with you guys?’
“I was like ‘No, that would not be ok’. He said ‘Why? It’ll be a bonding experience’. “I said ‘Because you can lift a car and I am a weakling beyond belief’. We’re on two completely different ends of the spectrum.”
I finally got the chance to see The Social Network recently and Garfield’s performance actually got me excited to see what he and Marc Webb do with Spider-Man. As well as Garfield and Stone, he reboot will star Rhys Ifans as the Lizard, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May.
