tron legacy olivia wilde Good news Tronists! Disney are confident that Tron Legacy will be a success in December and they’ve hired some writers to start working on the script for a sequel. The writers are Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, who worked on the Legacy screenplay, and apparently they are working on a way to round the story into a trilogy.

From Heat Vision:

Notwithstanding the question of whether the movie will be a hit, other topics to ponder are whether the sequel will focus on spinoff characters or center on a new adventure set in the “Tron” world.

No deals have been made with “Legacy” director Joseph Kosinski or cast members to return, though options were placed in the original deals, and Disney surely would hope to reunite all the elements if “Legacy” proves to be a hit.

Tron fans have waited 28 years for a sequel and now it looks like two will be coming out within the space of a few years!
