Depp To Play Mad Hatter In Alice In Wonderland

by Liam on July 28, 2008 · Comments

Mia Wasikowska was recently cast as Alice in Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland, and it now appears Burton will be working with Johnny Depp for the 7th time, as Depp has apparently been cast as the Mad Hatter.

Thinking about it now it seems so obvious that it was going to happen, and if Depp were to play any character in the movie it would have to be the Mad Hatter. I’ll still put my money on Helena Bonham Carter playing the Queen of Hearts.

Alice in Wonderland will be shot with live-action and performance-capture footage and presented in 3-D. Filming is expected to begin in November

as a film extra myself, and i dont think sam knows what he is talking about, as we have been given no information about Johny being a voice over, but he will be filming elsewhere as the mad hatter, just not on location at Anthony House in Cornwall, Sam you naughty boy, we have been sworn to secrecy, tut tut, and its not an engagement party at all, its just Hamish proposes to Alice at a garden party, as in the origanal story by Linda Wolverton. Its been a lovely experience working along beside Tim Burton. Sam (shush lol) you will get into trouble else

ive noticed it states filming will start in november, but its already started at Anthony House, Torpoint, Cornwall, Johny Depp is not at the house filming, but Alice-Mia Wasikowska is there, along with Frances de la Tour as Aunt Imogine, in my experience this is going to be a blockbuster as working along beside the cast and crew, they are doing an excellent job with the weather being all good, i think us extra's all got a bit of sunburn lol,
