Warner Bros say The Dark Knight has set a box office record for best opening weekend ever at the US box office with $155 million. This weekend Batman rode his Batpod and overtook Spiderman 3’s $151 million from last year.

The Dark Knight cost $185m to make so it will almost certainly make Warner Bros a nice profit and it’s safe to say we will get another Batman outing within the next few years. (Although Christopher Nolan said he wouldn’t come back just because of the money, he would need to have a good story to tell)
