Christian Bale won’t return as Batman in ‘Justice League’ movie

bane and batman the dark knight rises ImageA Warner Bros. source has moved quickly to quell any talk of Christian Bale returning as Batman in the much talked about Justice League movie, according to Comic Book Movie. The anonymous source also claimed that suggestions of renowned screenwriter, Dayid Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy) rewriting the screenplay were false.

Here’s the scoop:

Unfortunately for some, I am hearing that Christian Bale will NOT be back as Batman. They are looking to recast the character and go with a new story. Another rumor that has floated around is that Will Beall’s script has been thrown out, and David Goyer will be writing the movie. However, I’m hearing Beall’s script is still in play, and that Goyer may do some rewrites or consult on the movie, but he will not write the movie. “If Bale is coming back and Goyer is penning, it’s news to Warner Bros”.

This suggests that Bale won’t be appearing as Bruce Wayne in the movie, which would be consistent with the conclusion of The Dark Knight Rises and may open the door for Joseph Gordon-Levitt to take over as the Dark Knight.

However, the source did confirm that Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight Trilogy) and Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) will both be involved with the Justice League movie, though don’t expect any major developments until after Man of Steel hits cinemas on 14th June 2013.

“renowned screenwriter” ?? if he didnt have any involvement with the dark knight trilogy (batman begins being the only one where he did more than help come up with the story) then no one would ever, EVER give this guy a job working on a big name project. man is a hack, the one remaining reason i feel worried for Man of Steel

Man… It would be really stupid to make The Justice League Movie without Bale… It is just my opinion….

I feel that we should leave The Dark Knight Trilogy as we intended: to be set in the level of realism that was relatable. With this iteration of Batman we can see the more comic booky if you will, villains that could not be adapted this “realistic” universe. I believe in Christopher Nolan
