Chris Evans offered Captain America?

Chris Evans Is the search for Captain America over? According to Heat Vision Marvel has offered the role to Chris Evans.

Sources tell us the actor has been offered the role of Captain America. Marvel has not confirmed the development and CAA, which reps the actor, declined to comment.

Evans’ offer would include starring in up to three “America” movies plus “The Avengers” movies and appearances in several other Marvel movies. While an offer to star in “America” may seem like something you don’t have to mull over too long, one possible complication is that Evans is committed to co-starring in the Anna Faris romantic comedy “What’s Your Number?” Both are scheduled to shoot this summer.

I think Chris Evans would be a good choice for the part, although its not the first time hes played a superhero. Evans played The Human Torch in the Fantastic Four movies, a guy with telekinetic powers in Push, and will be appearing in The Losers and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World this year. Both of which are based on graphic novels and comics (and I thought Ryan Reynolds playing Green Lantern and Deadpool was over doing it).

What do you think? Would Evans be able to hold his own on screen with Robert Downey Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson?

Evans might make a good C.A. But i say his role will start friction between the human torch and C.A.. I say he will be able to hold his own against Downy Jr and Jackson. He's had enough exposure to audiences around the world to be considered a well known actor. The reason why Ryan Reynolds can pull off two superheroes is that both heroes belong to different comic book company's. In contrast to Evans both Captain America and The human torch belong to Marval. But knowing that Chris Evans is a well rounded actor we'll expect to see a good Captain America if he agrees to play him .

I think he's the best actor they've approached so far. He was by far the best thing in either Fantastic Four film and I think he could handle the role. Really, though, as long as they stay away from Channing Tatum, I don't care who they cast. That man may look like Steve Rogers, but he can't act his way out of a wet paper bag.
