Just like Twilight these movie's need to made with care, So I hope Summit will take into conseridation that they need a women director and not a man who make it more about the speacial effects more than the story unless that man happens to be the diector of Chornicles of Narnia and Sherk

I went to see Twilight with my daughter and I really liked the movie. Get someone who can start it, then if the movie does well, bring in a real director.

Now that the series is serious they need someone who can direct…better. All Hardwicke has been trying to do is make sure that the proper care is given the creation of this film (don't forget that just recently Hardwicke was battling Summit for more money in order to pay for the special effects required for New Moon that were not required for Twilight). Without this franchise Summit could easily have been dead in just a short while (considering they'd had no real box office rockers until now) and now they're trying to play hardball.
I suppose all we can do is keep our fingers crossed that another one of those rare, extraordinary female directors comes along to take over (or better yet, Summit comes to its senses).

I can't believe that Summit is so foolish.
