Third Alice in Wonderland poster features the Mad Hatter

Two weeks ago we saw a poster with the Red Queen, the White Queen, and the Cheshire Cat. The following week Disney released a poster of Alice and the White Rabbit, and now The Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter Facebook page has debuted the third poster featuring Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter.

Disney now need to put out a second trailer that will blow everyone away. The teaser was great, but it only glossed over Tim Burton’s world, and I want to see more of the supporting characters such as Alan Rickman’s Caterpillar and Christoper Lee’s Jabberwock.

First poster for Angelina Jolie’s Salt

Joblo got their hands on the first poster for Salt which stars Angelina Jolie as a CIA officer who is accused of being a Russian spy. Liev Schreiber plays a character called Winter, Jolie’s ally and supervisor in the CIA’s Russian office. Chiwetel Ejiofor (2012) plays a counter-intelligence officer trying to take her down.

Yesterday we got the teaser trailer, today we have a new poster, which can be seen below. I love the tagline.

Aaron Johnston plays Dave Lizewski, a lonely teen who decides to become a real-life superhero after being inspired by the heroes of comic-books. He soon encounters a mysterious vigilante called Big-Daddy (Nicolas Cage), and his daughter Hit Girl (Chloë Moretz), who are working to bring down the drug baron, Frank D’Amico.

Another Alice in Wonderland poster has been revealed on The Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter Facebook page. This one shows Alice herself, played by Mia Wasikowska, and the White Rabbit who will be voiced by Michael Sheen.

Disney have released a brand new poster for Alice in Wonderland on The Disloyal Subjects of the Mad Hatter Facebook page. It features Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee and the Cheshire Cat who will be voiced by Stephen Fry.

Apparently this poster is the first of three new “treasures for his subjects” so expect more Wonderland stuff soon!

The Wolfman has got Emily Blunt up against a tree again

Two new posters for The Wolfman have appeared online. One features Emily Blunt tree bound and popped up over at Cinematical. The other shows us the face of the furry one and comes courtesy of AICN.

First set of official Kick-Ass posters released

Back in August Matthew Vaughn brought his independently financed superhero movie Kick-Ass to Comic Con and the huge positive response to the footage provoked a bidding war between a few studios for distribution rights. Lionsgate eventually claimed victory after shelling out $50 million, and swiftly set a April 16th release date. Now we are starting to see the first bit of marketing for the film with IGN releasing 4 new posters.

In related Kick-Ass news AICN received a review for film after a test screening took place in London recently. Here’s a snippet (spoilers):

The comic sets out as a modern deconstruction of the superhero concept, with knowing nods to geekdom surrounding comics, and the film takes that idea and runs with. Littered with references to other superhero films from Batman, Superman and Spiderman (even the Spirit movie gets a hilarious nod), this feels like it is happening in our world, and will drive fellow geeks wild. The film veers ever more into outlandish areas as it goes on, but it always feel believable.
As far as the actors go, Brit Aaron Johnson as Kick-Ass more than fills the lead role ably handling the accent, but I did feel that he lacked the vulnerability of the comic’s Dave Lizewski, never nerdy enough and definitely too buff, but that’s just nit-picking at a role that should catapult him into the big time. Christopher “McLovin” Mintz-Plasse proves that he has what it takes to hold his own in a comedic role as Red Mist, and he seems perfectly cast. Nic Cage, who I wasn’t really to impressed with when I heard he was cast as Big Daddy, proved me wrong by putting in a hilarious, Adam West-esque performance (although his final scenes did raise a few eyebrows for his scene-chewing, but again I won’t spoil it for you).
But the film truly belongs to Chloe Moretz who, as Hit Girl, tears through the film as the baddest pre-pubescent 4 foot badass ever committed to film. She totally owns every scene and provided the audience with at least three bandstanding crowd cheering moments. She’s funny, witty, knowing, hugely crude, and just massively ass-kicking, her Matrix lobby-esque scene at the film’s climax is just incredible, and again should propel her into the big time by just being one of the most incredibly cool characters in any comic book film ever. Badder than Wolverine, funnier than Deadpool, more athletic than Spiderman and cuter than that kid in Runaways. Just f**king awesome.

From the positive reaction to footage at comic con, to this recent review, it seems Matthew Vaughn may have made a rather unique and cool superhero movie. All we need now is a trailer!

Percy Jackson & The Olympians poster

20th Century Fox provided ComingSoon.net with a new poster for Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, which can be seen below.

The film is based on the book by Rick Riordan and follows a young boy who discovers he is the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. These aren’t just any gods however. Sean Bean plays Zeus, Kevin McKidd plays Poseidon and Steve Coogan plays Hades. We also have Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, Uma Thurman as Medusa and Rosario Dawson as Persephone.

Percy Jackson & The Stupidly Long Title will be released next February and is directed by Chris Columbus (first two Harry Potter movies).

How to Train Your Dragon teaser poster

Below is the first teaser poster for DreamWork’s How to Train Your Dragon courtesy of IMP Awards.

Poster removed at the request of Paramount

The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen’s smarts and offbeat sense of humor don’t sit too well with his tribe or its chief…who just happens to be Hiccup’s father. However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other Viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. But when he encounters (and ultimately befriends) an injured dragon, his world is flipped upside down, and what started out as Hiccup’s one shot to prove himself turns into an opportunity to set a new course for the future of the entire tribe.

How to Train Your Dragon, which will be released next March, is co-directed by Dean DeBlois and Chris Sanders who both worked on Lilo and Stitch, and features the voice talents of Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and America Ferrera.

Here’s a new Sherlock Holmes poster

Cinematical received a brand new (rather blue) poster for Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes. It features all the gang including Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law, Mark Strong and Rachel McAdams. There’s also a bulldog which we haven’t seen much of in the trailers. I wonder if he/she has a large role?

Sherlock Holmes sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down an evil cult leader named Lord Blackwood (Mark Strong) and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.
