The marketing for The Hunger Games helped push the film to $691 million at the global box office, and it looks like the studio is taking a similar approach with the sequel. There doesn’t appear to be any footage from the area itself, but we see that Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) has become a “beacon of hope” to the oppressed citizens and “has to be eliminated”.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.
The cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Hemsworth, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film will be released November 22nd 2013.
